This year marks Bloordale’s 51st Anniversary of delivering a House League, Select and Rep baseball program for the community.
As many of you are aware, 2014 marks the second year of a three year plan the City of Toronto is increasing user permit fees on all minor sports leagues using outdoor fields. Bloordale has no choice but to pass this additional cost on to our families.
As a result, house league registration fees for our Rookie, Mosquito, Peewee, and Bantam divisions will see an increase of $15 per player to cover the City’s increase in permit fees. (We will not be passing on the permit cost to T-Ball players in an effort to keep this entry level as affordable as possible).
In addition, the costs of delivering a community-based quality minor sports program have also increased forcing the league executive to impose an across-the-board $5 rate increase for the 2014 season. Bloordale Baseball is still one of the most economical organized sports activities in Etobicoke.
