Very recently, it has come to the attention of the league executive that some children have been rostered in the improper division because of incorrect data submitted to the league during the registration process.
While it is sometimes possible to have your child placed in a different division than their age indicates, this has historically and will continue to be done on a case-by-case basis starting with a formal request by the parent, requiring open communication between the requesting parents and the league through the established evaluation process.
This decision to play at a different age level will always be only at the discretion of the league. Bloordale Baseball views the act of deceptively changing a child’s birth date in order to be placed in a different division as a safety concern, as unfair to the children properly aged who were bumped to a wait list, and simply not in keeping with the values we are trying to teach our children.
Any family who purposely supplies an incorrect birth date for the purpose of placing their child in a higher division will have their registration refunded.
