Hello Bloordale Families,
Below is a COVID-19 update that was e-mailed to all players registered with Bloordale for the 2020 season.
House League
It is with deep regret that we have to inform you of the cancellation of our 2020 house league season, including women’s slow-pitch. The City of Toronto and the TDSB will not be issuing any permits for use of their facilities until at least the end of June.
We will monitor the situation closely and hope that we will get access to our diamonds when the restrictions are lifted. We are looking at what we can offer our players and families. We are considering ideas such as drop-in practices/games, batting practice at our cage, fun days, or mini tournaments. As the situation become clearer we will be communicating to our Bloordale community.
Full refunds will be automatically issued for all players. Note that there will be a two or three week delay in issuing refunds, due to the volume of refunds to be processed.
Rep/Select
There will be no rep or select games or practices until at least the end of June. More communication will be forthcoming regarding a possible July/August season, should that be an option, as we get closer to the date.
Umpire Clinics
Clinics will continue to take place and will be online. Bloordale Baseball will cover umpire fees for people who have already signed up. More information will be provided once details are communicated from Baseball Ontario.
Bloordale has been serving our community since 1963. We are profoundly sad about having to cancel the house league season.
Stay healthy and keep an eye on your emails for updates from Bloordale.
Regards,
Brian Moore,
President Bloordale Baseball
