This year marks Bloordale’s 50th Anniversary and we are looking forward to some great events and wonderful extra opportunities for our House League, Select and Rep team families.
Last year, we were successful in freezing our registration fees. Unfortunately this will not be the case for 2013. As many of you are aware, the City of Toronto has imposed user permit fees on all minor sports leagues using outdoor fields starting this year, the first of a three year plan of increasing fees. Bloordale has no choice but to pass this additional cost on to our families.
As a result, house league registration fees for our Rookie, Mosquito, Peewee, and Bantam divisions will see an increase of $22 per player. (Bloordale has always tried to keep our entry level T-Ball division as affordable as possible and as a result will not be seeing a permit fee impact on this year’s registration).
In addition, the costs of delivering a community-based quality minor sports program have also increased forcing the league executive to impose an across-the-board $8 rate increase for the 2013 season. Bloordale Baseball is still one of the most economical organized sports activities in Etobicoke.
