It is with sadness that Bloordale Baseball announces today the passing of Larry Jones.
Larry was a long time Bloordale Baseball coach, executive member and president. He was particularly active in girls softball when Bloordale offered programs in both baseball and softball.
Larry died unexpectedly of a heart attack while shoveling snow at his home on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the age of 72. Details of the arrangements are noted below.
Bloordale Baseball President Patrick McConnell and Treasurer and long time friend Brian Walsh will be attending services on behalf of the league.

JONES, Lawrence “Larry” – Died unexpectedly as a result of a heart attack on Thursday, December 27, 2012, at the age of 72. Treasured husband of Bev for 46 years. Cherished dad/pops of Rob and Steph (Derek). Gimps adored his grandchildren Nicholas, Jason and Kennedy. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Kipling and Islington Aves.) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, January 3, 2013, at 3 o’clock. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
