Last night at the Etobiocke Baseball Association AGM, Bloordale Baseball was named League of the Year. The award was given to Bloordale for all the work our volunteers do to support EBA activities including tournaments, convening select divisions, and EBA Board contributions. We also were recognized for our initiative in rebuilding our website and launching our Social Media Strategy in 2011. Our project leadership in securing 3 tractors and associated supplies for EBA members was also noted during the award presention as was our successful piloting and promoting of Super 7 TBall and our coach and player training and development program. Our media outreach with the Etobiocke Guardian that resulted in numerous media hits and our community barbeque intiative that connected baseball in Millwood Park with the surrounding neighbourhood was also commended.
Thanks goes out to all of our league coaches, players, families, volunteers and executive members for all of your hard work throughout 2011 …… and every year.
