Etobicoke Senior Umpire of the Year, 2010

by | Feb 28, 2011

Neil Riddell has been named the Etobicoke Baseball Association Senior Umpire of the Year for 2010.

Neil is one of Bloordale’s most requested level 2 umpires by house league, select, and Ranger coaches. In fact, his skills are highly recommended by Etobicoke Ranger Coaches DaCosta and Meehan. If you are familiar with the demands of these two coaches, you know Neil has earned his stripes to receive this type of praise. The recommendation is based on many factors of Neil’s ‘game’:

  • Professional in all aspects of his game
  • Consistent with his calls and signals and strike zone
  • Always in position to make the call
  • Interacts well with coaches and players at all levels
  • Knows the game and explains his decisions rationally
  • Works well with other umpires

Congratulations to Neil. You have made Bloordale Baseball proud and set the bar for others of the Bloordale Blue Crew to reach for.
