Bloordale Training at ProTeach

by | Apr 19, 2012

During the week of May 7th, our regular game schedule will be changed. Instead of playing a regular season game that week, we have arranged for all of our players to go to the Proteach facility for an hour and a half of professional instruction.
All coaches will be asked to gather their team, not at the Baseball diamond, but instead go to the Proteach facility at 25 Whitlam Ave, Etobicoke, M8V 2K1.
Your regular game night will be the night that your team will be scheduled to attend these sessions (except for Bantam age, see below). Schedules for the season will be prepared to match the following:

Monday May 7: 6:00 to 7:30 pm Mosquito
Monday May 7: 7:30 to 9:00 pm PeeWee
Tuesday May 8: 6:00 to 7:30 pm Mosquito
Tuesday May 8: 7:30 to 9:00 pm Peewee
Wed. May 9: 6:00 to 7:30 pm Rookie
Wed. May 9: 7:30 to 9:00 pm Bantam
Thurs May 10: 6:00 to 7:30 pm Rookie

(Check with your coach or division convenor for your specific team time)
The Bloordale Baseball League will be paying for these sessions as part of your players’ fees. It’s expected that you will not only encourage your players to attend, but do more than that—get every single one of them to take advantage of this opportunity.
Times have been set up so that the younger players have the earlier time slots, and older players the later ones. The number of players expected for each session will be between 20 and 30, which is a very good number for the pro’s at Proteach to handle—they will split players in to groups, and provide instruction on everything from the fundamentals for the younger players, to more advanced skills for the older ones.
For Select coaches: please rest assured that your players will get as much out of this as House League players will. Therefore, encourage each and every one of them to attend.
